Who makes vagejs

Venkatesh A G E is a web developer in Bengaluru, India, who helps startups turn their websites into a real source of customers. Most of his work is Webflow design and development, HubSpot, landing pages, and website audits that look at clarity, technical SEO and how easily a site shows up in AI search.

His rule for any website is clarity first, structure second, design last: be clear about what you offer, who it's for and why they should care, and the rest gets easier. He's also been building and auditing sites with AI coding assistants like Claude Code. vagejs brings both ideas together: a tool where the details that search engines and AI assistants rely on are right by default, and checked every time.

Why it exists

AI assistants made it easy to produce a website quickly. They didn't make it easy to produce a correct one. Generated sites often ship with missing page summaries, sitemaps that list pages that don't exist, made-up structured data and broken links, and nobody notices until traffic doesn't arrive.

vagejs takes those details off the table. It writes them from your content, checks them on every build, and gives AI assistants clear instructions so they don't have to guess. The result is a site that's right by default, whoever (or whatever) wrote it.

How the project is run

• Open source under the MIT license. The code is on GitHub and the package is on npm.
• Facts with sources. Every outside fact vagejs relies on, such as AI crawler names or analytics limits, lives in a rule pack with its official source, the date it was checked and a named reviewer. Run npx vage guidelines to see them.
• Honest about limits. The docs and vage info --json list what isn't built yet, so nobody is promised a feature that doesn't exist.
• Security first. Content is sanitized before it's published, deploys refuse to upload secrets, and security issues are handled privately under the security policy.
